US Traffic Planner (Traffic Management) WFH

About the role: 

Purpose of the Position: Production of traffic management plans and services that comply with traffic management legislation and that meet the requirements of our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and contractors to establish the specific requirements of traffic management plans.
  • The production of traffic guidance schemes, traffic management plans and traffic control plans in accordance with client specific requirements and in accordance with traffic management guidelines.
  • Other duties as determined by the Planning and Projects Manager to facilitate the organizational requirements of the company.
  • Compliance with the company Business Management System.
  • Conduct appropriate on site transport/traffic surveys and interviews, and process data results
  • Analyze and interpret data gathered from statistics, surveys and transport studies
  • Liaise with clients on plan and permit requirements
  • Planning approval from Project Managers, Councils & Road Authorities
  • Manage traffic plan variations, re-submissions and amendments
  • Coordinate project Road Safety Audits (RSA) when necessary
  • Attach all relevant documentation to application and job packs for all works (planning and operational)
Position requirements: 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the preparation of traffic guidance schemes, traffic management plans and traffic control plans in accordance with relevant state and national legislation.
  • Qualifications and experience in the interpretation and application of relevant state and national traffic management legislation including Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, guides and associated documents Demonstrated ability to liaise with clients and provide accurate advice and plans.
  • Sound computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and demonstrated competency in the use of CorelDRAW and CAD.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
