About the role: 
  • Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests and projects and initiatives.
  • Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units.
  • Partner with business leaders and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance)The ability to understand key business requirements and opportunities
  • Business Partnering / Relationship Management
  • Sound basic IT foundation and ask appropriate/challenging questions to get to the heart of the business problem.
  • A strong relationship with business stakeholders that develop trust, confidence in their recommendations, and acceptance of input and challenge
  • Influencing Skills
  • Understanding of principles of Business Analysis and/or solutions architecture
  • Facilitation, Enabling decision making
  • Proven ability in the Retail sector
  • Leads Technology team engagement with their respective business area
  • Orchestrating deployment of Portfolio Managers, Business Systems specialists to best understand, prioritize, and demand from the business community.
  • Ensures provision of timely initial responses to business problems/queries/concepts
  • Be the link between the business and the technology teams at an operational level for process improvements and solution enhancements
  • Demonstrate the contribution of technology and projects to the business objectives, identify change to solutions/process that contributes to the delivery of KPI's
  • Leverages strong relationships with IT leadership community to ensure customer delivery progresses at pace and adheres to technology roadmap
Position requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university
  • Client/Project Management experience
  • At least 3-5 years of IT and business/industry work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments experience, with at least years of leadership experience and developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios
  • Experience in using a wide range of IT systems and of providing consultancy and support.
  • Producing business requirements, business cases, and high-quality documentation (Business, Functional, Technical, Process Design, and Training Manuals).
  • Experience in using Business Process improvement techniques.
  • Experience in working in a mature agile environment and implementing agile ways of working.
  • Detailed understanding of the impact of change, the interdependencies, and impact on the business
