Business Development Representative

About the role: 

The Business Development Representative will be seeking new business opportunities by
running email marketing campaigns, contacting prospects and developing relationships. To be
successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing
campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong
relationships with customers, from first contact until hand it off to Sales.

· Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
· Contact potential clients through cold calls and cold emails
· Analyze and Proactively review market reports to determine where to seek out new business
· Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
· Present our company to potential clients
· Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
· Report to the Sales Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
· Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
· Work to convert losses into wins to the best of your ability
· Understanding our buyer personas and the needs and “pains” of our target market
· Using social selling techniques to attract and source leads
· Networking, face-to-face meetings, and any other activities that help to generate and close
leads

Position requirements: 

Requirements:
· A passion to work as a Business Development Representative
· A basic understanding of sales techniques (including cold calls)
· A willingness to understand new opportunities through cold calling, research, and customer
interaction
· Ability and willingness to utilize CRM to manage their day to day activities
· Ability and willingness to learn CRM/ERP software (e.g. Salesforce, Netsuite)
· Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
· Understanding of sales performance metrics
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Ability to prioritize different projects and stay on schedule
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Knowledge of utilizing LinkedIn
